Extrait de parfum

Not every perfume is the same. The difference is in the concentration: how much pure fragrance oil is in the bottle. The higher that percentage, the more intense the scent and the longer it stays on your skin.

Most perfumes in stores are an eau de toilette (5–15%) or an eau de parfum (15–20%). At Primori, you always get an extrait de parfum with 30% fragrance oil, the highest and purest form of perfume. That's why you can smell your fragrance for up to 16 hours, instead of just a few.

And because the fragrance is so concentrated, you need less. A few sprays are enough for the whole day.

The maceration process

A good perfume isn't created in a single moment. It grows. Just as a wine needs time to develop its character, a fragrance needs rest to come into its own. We call this maceration. After blending, we let every fragrance mature, far away from light and heat. This allows all the ingredients to slowly bond into one harmonious whole. It takes time and patience, but that's exactly what gives every Primori fragrance the depth, richness and longevity you expect from an extrait. Here's how it works, in four steps.

Blending

We develop every Primori fragrance ourselves: note by note, until the balance is just right. We then weigh each ingredient precisely, in the high concentration of an extrait.

Resting in the dark

The perfume rests sealed, far away from light and heat. This lets the ingredients bond with each other undisturbed.

Maturing

Just like wine, perfume gets better with time. Sharp edges soften and the fragrance gains depth and balance.

Filtering and filling

We filter the perfume until a pure, clear fragrance remains. Then every bottle is filled with care.

Stacking discount

At Primori, you're rewarded for choosing more fragrances. The more perfumes you combine, the bigger your discount. That way, you put together your own set and decide how much you pay per fragrance.

From the fifth perfume, the 40% discount also applies to every fragrance you add after that.

Travel size

All our perfumes come in a handy 10 ml bottle. Small enough for your bag, coat pocket or toiletry bag, and allowed in your hand luggage. That way, you have your favourite fragrance with you all day and can spray it on whenever you like. And because it's an extrait de parfum, 10 ml lasts surprisingly long.
